Pluely for Consultants & Client Calls

The client asks what you scoped for phase two — on a call you took three weeks and eleven workstreams ago. Pluely is the record you wish you'd kept: it transcribes every client call live from a discreet desktop overlay, helps you check a number or a framework mid-call without breaking eye contact, and turns each session into a summary ready for billing notes, status reports, or the SOW.

Trust is built while listening, not typing

Client work runs on presence, and presence dies the moment you start transcribing quotes by hand. Meeting bots aren't an option either — many clients won't allow a third-party recorder in the room. Pluely captures the call locally from your own machine, with no visible participant, and saves every session so "what exactly did we commit to?" has a searchable answer.

During the engagement

  • Discovery calls. Capture the client's exact language about their problem — the phrasing you'll want verbatim when you write the proposal.
  • Working sessions. Screenshot a client's spreadsheet or slide mid-call and sanity-check a number in Ask mode without pausing the meeting — streaming answers and follow-up chips keep it fast.
  • Steering committees. The speaker-labeled transcript shows who committed to what — the difference between a scope discussion and a scope dispute.
  • Answers on the spot. Attach your frameworks and past deliverables to a custom prompt (Prompts) and turn on Automatic responses: when the client asks a question, Pluely drafts a reply grounded in your own materials plus the live transcript — so "let me get back to you" becomes the exception, not the default.

After the call

Open the saved meeting and generate a summary for your files, key points for the status report, or action items to track deliverables. Confidentiality, handled

Engagements with strict data terms can run Pluely on your own provider keys — encrypted on device — or a local CLI like Claude Code or Ollama; see Choosing your AI. Transcripts and history stay local-first on your machine (Local-first privacy).

Set it up

  1. Switch to Listen mode and grant microphone + screen-recording permission so Pluely hears the client's side of the call.
  2. Press Start listening at the top of the call. If the conversation goes off the record, pausing costs nothing.
  3. Press Stop when it wraps — the session saves automatically as a meeting.
  4. Generate the summary or action items and drop them into your billing notes or deliverables.
