Use Cases

Pluely for Teachers & Educators

A student asks the one question you didn't prep for, and thirty faces wait while you decide whether to wing it. Pluely gives you a quiet place to check: it transcribes the lesson live from a discreet desktop overlay, lets you privately verify an answer before you say it out loud, and turns every class into a recap you can hand to whoever missed it.

Teaching is live improvisation

Whether it's a lecture hall, a video class, or a one-on-one tutoring session, teaching means improvising in front of an audience. Questions arrive from angles you didn't plan; by the end of a long lesson, what you said in minute five is fuzzy. Pluely covers both: the whole session is transcribed as it happens, and Ask mode gives you a fast, private sanity check without pulling out a phone or breaking stride.

In the classroom or on a video call

  • A complete record of the lesson — what was covered and how questions were answered, in dozens of languages with auto-detect for language classes.
  • Private double-checks. Type the tricky question into the overlay and get a streamed answer only you see — the overlay never steals focus from your slides and stays out of screen shares.
  • Screen-aware explanations. Screenshot the diagram or equation you're presenting and ask Pluely for a clearer way to explain it, or to verify a worked solution — see Image uploads.
  • Your materials, attached. Build a custom prompt with your lesson plan or textbook chapter attached as knowledge files (Prompts), so answers match your curriculum, not a generic one.

After class

Every lesson saves as a meeting. Generate a summary for students who missed class, key points for tomorrow's review, or a recap for your own planning. Teaching the same course across sections? Compare session summaries to see which explanation actually landed and which needs another pass.

Across teaching contexts

  • K-12 and higher-ed lectures — full capture without separate recording software or a visible bot.
  • Remote and hybrid classes — works with any video platform your computer plays.
  • Private tutoring — the transcript gives tutor and student the same record to review before the next session.
  • Office hours — when a student says "you never explained that," you can both check.

Set it up

  1. Switch to Listen mode before class and grant microphone + screen-recording permission.
  2. Press Start listening as the session starts. Pausing costs nothing during breaks.
  3. Press Stop at the end — the lesson saves automatically. Generate the recap and share it.
