How to Summarize & Export a Meeting

Every Listen session is already saved as a meeting — turning it into a shareable summary takes one transformation and one copy.

Every Listen session becomes a meeting

Whenever you use Listen mode, Pluely v1 saves the full session as a meeting instead of discarding it when the call ends. You never manually save a transcript — it's waiting for you afterward in the meetings area.

Step-by-step: opening and transforming a meeting

  1. Open the dashboard or overlay area where saved meetings are listed.
  2. Find the meeting you want — sessions are listed by date and time.
  3. Open it to view the full raw transcript.
  4. Choose a transformation:
    • Summary — a condensed overview of what was discussed.
    • Key points — a bulleted list of the most important takeaways.
    • Concise — a shorter rewrite of the transcript itself.
    • Longer — an expanded, more detailed rewrite.
    • Explain — a plain-language explanation of the content.
    • Translate — the transcript rendered into another language.
  5. Wait for Pluely to generate the transformed version with your selected model.
  6. Review the result inside the meeting view.
  7. Copy the result and paste it anywhere — an email, a chat app, a document, or your notes.

Choosing the right transformation

Use "Summary" or "Key points" right after a long meeting when you need the highlights fast. Use "Concise" when the raw transcript is usable but wordy. Use "Longer" or "Explain" to add context back in for someone who wasn't on the call. Use "Translate" to share the meeting in another language.

Re-running a transformation

You're not limited to one transformation per meeting. Open the same meeting again and choose a different option — run "Key points" now, "Translate" later. Pluely keeps the original transcript intact, so generate as many versions as you need.

Exporting and sharing

Copy a transformed result and paste it into whatever tool you already use to share notes — email, a project tracker, a document, or chat. Pluely doesn't lock meeting content into a proprietary format; the copy option hands it off as clean plain text.

Tips

  • Run "Key points" immediately after a meeting while it's fresh, even if you plan a fuller summary later.
  • Pick a model from the picker — "Pluely Models," "Your Providers," or "Your CLI" — based on how much nuance the summary needs.
  • If the transcript language was set incorrectly, fix it via the transcription language guide before relying on a summary.
  • Copy important summaries into a permanent notes location — treat meetings as a working transcript, not long-term archival storage.
