How to Buy a Pluely License

A license unlocks Pluely's full experience, including Pluely's managed AI and higher monthly limits. Here's how to get one.

1. Open the pricing page

Go to the pricing page to compare plans. Each plan lists what's included — live transcription time, file uploads, and AI requests per month.

2. Choose a plan

Pick the plan that fits how you'll use Pluely:

• Paid plans — monthly limits for live transcription, uploads, and AI requests, with realtime speech-to-text included automatically — nothing to configure.
• Dev Pro / Bring-your-own-keys — a one-time lifetime license: use Pluely with your own provider key or a local CLI, and get every new release before it goes public — new versions ship to Dev Pro users first. Dev Pro is also the only license that can bring its own Deepgram API key for speech-to-text with automatic speaker labels (diarization). Nothing is metered by Pluely.

3. Check out

Complete checkout on the pricing page. When your purchase is confirmed you'll receive a license key by email — a short string you'll paste into the app.

4. Activate

Open Pluely, go to Dashboard, and paste the key from the email into the License Key box on the Home page. Full steps: How to activate your license.

If you started the purchase from inside the app, you can skip this step: the app activates the plan on its own once the payment goes through. The email still arrives, and pasting its key does no harm; both paths end with the same active plan.

Billing & renewals

• Your plan's monthly allowances reset at the start of each month.
• Renewal and billing dates are shown inside the app on your plan-and-usage screen.
• Bringing your own keys? Those requests are billed by your provider, not Pluely.

Buy Pro from inside the app

You do not need the website to upgrade. When you reach a Pro feature in the overlay, such as Listen, region capture, file uploads or a hosted model, a small panel opens right there with the plans and prices. Pick one and the secure checkout opens in your browser. The moment the payment goes through, Pluely activates the license on the computer you bought it from, on its own. There is no key to copy and nothing to paste. The app watches for the payment for 15 minutes; if it takes longer than that, or you closed Pluely in between, the panel says so and you paste the key from your license email on the Dashboard instead. That email always arrives as a backup, and the same panel is available from Dashboard under Your plan.

The activation is tied to the computer that opened the checkout, so a purchase made from one machine cannot be picked up by another. If you buy on the website instead, activate the key from the email as before.

Manage your subscription from the app

On Limited Pro and Unlimited Pro, open Dashboard and press Manage subscription in the top right of the Your plan & usage card. The Pluely billing page opens in your browser. The card shows the email your order is under; enter that email on the billing page and a link to your billing arrives in that inbox. Inside you can update your payment method, download invoices, change your plan, or cancel. A support email link sits right under your license. See Manage your subscription.
