Plans, Usage & Limits
Pluely's paid plans include monthly allowances for the things that use cloud AI. This page explains what's metered, how it's counted, and where to see your usage.
What's metered
| Allowance | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Live transcription | Minutes of Listen mode transcription per month |
| File uploads | Number of documents/images processed per month |
| AI requests | Each Ask, transform, or suggestion that uses Pluely's managed AI |
How counting works
- Usage is counted only when a request succeeds — a failed request doesn't cost you.
- Meters are monthly and reset on the 1st. Your plan-and-usage screen shows the reset date.
- Usage is cumulative for the month — deleting a file or a meeting doesn't refund what was already counted.
Live transcription specifics
- While listening, the composer shows a live countdown of your remaining time.
- Paused sessions cost nothing — pause during a break and the meter stops with you.
- When time runs out, the session ends gracefully at a natural break, never mid-sentence.
Automatic responses and AI requests
Each automatic response in a meeting uses one AI request — same as a manual question. Pluely actively protects that allowance: short remarks ("yeah", "okay") never trigger a response, repeated questions aren't answered twice, question/pause detection runs free on your device, and the Auto responses control always shows how many requests you have left. If you want maximum thrift, keep Auto responses on When a question is asked (the default) or Off — the continuous Every pause mode is the one that spends fastest.
Where to see your usage
Open the dashboard's plan & usage panel. You'll see a bar for each allowance (used vs. total), your plan name, and the date everything resets. Pluely also warns you as you approach a limit so there are no surprises.
Bring-your-own-keys plans
If you use Your Providers or Your CLI, those requests run on your credentials and are not metered by Pluely — you'll see a note that nothing is bundled. Your provider bills you directly.
Reaching a limit
If you hit a monthly limit, Pluely tells you in a friendly message and points you to next steps — you can wait for the reset, upgrade your plan, or switch to your own provider/CLI to keep going immediately.
