What Switches On When Your License Activates
A Pro license is mostly used on calls where nobody else should notice Pluely. So the moment a license activates, Pluely turns on the settings that keep it out of sight and within reach. Nothing here is locked: each one stays a normal switch in Dashboard → App Settings.
What turns on

- Always on top keeps the overlay above every other window, so it never disappears behind the call. See Always On Top Mode.
- Hide app icon takes Pluely out of the Dock, the taskbar and the app switcher, for the overlay and the dashboard alike. See App Icon Stealth Mode.
- Meeting detection notices when a call starts and offers one-click transcription. See Meeting detection.
When it happens
- The first time a license activates on a computer, whether you pasted the key or bought Pro inside the app.
- Every later activation too. Remove a license and activate one again, or move to a new computer, and the three switch on again.
- Not on a normal launch. Once your license is active, opening Pluely leaves your switches exactly as you set them.
Turning any of it off
Open Dashboard → App Settings and flip the switch. Always on top is also in the overlay's own settings panel. Your choice sticks until the next activation.
Windows: one extra step for the icon
Windows only redraws a taskbar button when its window is created, so after the app icon is hidden for the first time, quit Pluely (Quit Pluely at the bottom of the overlay settings) and open it again. After that the button stays gone. macOS and Linux need no restart.
