Use Cases
Pluely for Product Managers: Interviews & Roadmap Calls
Fifth customer interview of the day. Somewhere in hour two, a user described the exact problem your roadmap misses — and it's not in your notes. PM work happens in conversations: discovery interviews, roadmap negotiations, spec reviews. Pluely captures all of them live with speaker labels and no bot in the call, then turns each one into a summary or action-item list ready for the backlog — so the evening write-up session disappears.
Across the PM week
- User interviews — a speaker-labeled transcript separates what you asked from what the customer actually said, which is exactly what you need when synthesizing a dozen interviews into a discovery doc. No bot joins, so rapport survives — unlike bot-based notetakers such as Otter or Fireflies that appear as a participant.
- Roadmap and prioritization calls — the moment someone actually commits to a decision is easy to miss while typing. Listen mode catches it verbatim, and the transcript settles "what did we agree to?" before it becomes a re-litigation.
- Spec and PRD reviews — attach the draft spec to a custom prompt in Prompts. When an engineer flags an edge case on screen, capture it with image uploads and reason it through in Ask mode before committing to an answer live.
- Stakeholder Q&A — turn on Automatic responses for review calls: when a question lands (Pluely detects questions even without a question mark), a drafted answer appears, built from your selected prompt, the spec attached to it, and the live transcript. It never cuts in mid-sentence, won't answer the same question twice, and short remarks never trigger it.
After the call
Every meeting is saved locally and reopenable in Meetings. Generate:
- A summary to paste into a discovery doc or stakeholder update.
- Action items formatted for a direct copy into your ticket tracker.
- Key points across a batch of interviews — the fastest way to spot a pattern without rereading every transcript in full.
Five interviews in a week used to mean an evening of write-ups from memory. Now it's five clean summaries before you close the laptop.
How to set it up
- Switch to Listen mode in the overlay before the call starts.
- Grant microphone and screen-recording permission so participants' audio is captured — Pluely works with Zoom, Meet, Teams, or anything else your computer plays.
- Press Start listening as the meeting begins.
- Screenshot spec details or edge cases on screen and reason through them in the composer.
- Press Stop when the call ends; the meeting is saved automatically.
- Generate a summary or action items and route them into your roadmap tool.
Tips
- Ask for "decisions" separated from "open questions" when summarizing a roadmap call — fast discussions conflate the two constantly.
- Use consistent meeting names across an interview batch so comparing summaries during synthesis is instant.
- Attach the previous sync's summary to your prompt before a recurring meeting so answers carry context on prior commitments.
- Each automatic response costs one AI request and only successful requests count — watch your meters in Plans & usage.
