Keyboard Shortcuts

Drive Pluely entirely from the keyboard — summon the overlay, capture your screen, or start listening without touching the mouse. Shortcuts are global, so they work no matter which app has focus.

What you can bind

• Toggle the overlay — show or hide Pluely instantly.
• Capture the screen / a region — grab a screenshot straight into a question.
• Push-to-talk — dictate a question by voice.
• Start / stop listening — control a live Listen mode session.

Customizing shortcuts

Open the Shortcuts area in the dashboard. For any action:

1. Click to record a new shortcut and press the keys you want.
2. Pluely validates the combination and warns about conflicts with other bindings.
3. Save — the new shortcut takes effect everywhere immediately.

Defaults are chosen per platform (macOS, Windows, Linux) so they feel native out of the box.

Tips

• Pick a toggle shortcut you can hit one-handed — you'll use it constantly.
• If a shortcut isn't working, check for a conflict with another app's global shortcut.
