How to Activate Your License

Once you have a license key, activation takes a few seconds and unlocks Pluely's full experience.

Steps

1. Open Pluely and go to the license or account area (in the dashboard).
2. Paste your license key — the string you received by email after purchase.
3. Confirm. Pluely validates the key and activates it on this device.

That's it. You'll now see your plan and remaining monthly usage, and Pluely's managed models become available in the model picker.

What activation does

• Ties your license to this installation so your plan and usage follow you.
• Unlocks Pluely Models and any Pro features your plan includes (like auto-screenshot).
• Shows your usage meters — live transcription time, file uploads, and AI requests for the month.

Trials

If you're on a trial, activating enables the trial allowance. When the trial ends you can upgrade from the pricing page and re-activate with your new key.

Moving to a new computer

Activate the same key on your new device the same way. If you hit any issue, see Troubleshooting.

Bringing your own keys

If you're using Your Providers or Your CLI, you can use Pluely without a managed plan — configure your key or CLI and Pluely routes requests there. A license is still what unlocks Pluely's managed AI and Pro extras.
