Pluely for Developers

The stack trace is 40 lines deep, the fix isn't on the first page of results, and your flow state is fading fast. Pluely is an AI copilot for your whole screen, not just one editor: screenshot the error, get a streamed answer in an always-on-top overlay, and — if you want — route every request through a CLI on your own machine so nothing leaves it.

Why developers like Pluely

  • Screen-aware answers. Screenshot a build error, a diff, or a flame graph — or capture just the region that matters — and ask about it directly. Flip on the Use image toggle and every question automatically includes your current screen. See Image uploads.
  • Never loses your focus. The overlay is non-activating: it floats on top while keyboard focus stays in your editor. Summon and dismiss it with customizable global shortcuts.
  • Streaming answers with a Stop button and smart follow-up chips — "now show the fix" is one click in Ask mode.
  • Web search when you need current docs. The model picker keeps Web Search and Perplexity Search pinned at the top, with everything else ordered by capability — see Choosing your AI.

Local-first with your own CLI

Point Pluely at Claude Code, Gemini CLI, or Ollama and completions run through the tool already on your machine — ideal for offline models and teams with strict data rules. Prefer API keys? Bring your own provider keys; they're encrypted on device. Either way, BYO usage isn't metered by Pluely (Plans & usage). Setup takes a minute: Connect a local CLI.

Debugging on calls, too

Pairing session or incident bridge? Start Listen mode and Pluely transcribes the call locally with speaker labels, saves it as a meeting, and hands you the action items once the dust settles.
