Keyboard Shortcuts
Pluely v1 is built to be driven from the keyboard as much as from the overlay itself. Global shortcuts work from inside any application, so you can summon Pluely, capture a screenshot, or start a Listen session without switching windows or reaching for the mouse.
Where shortcuts live in settings
Shortcut settings sit in their own area of the dashboard, separate from model and Dev Space settings. From there you can see every bindable action and the key combination currently assigned to it.
What you can do from settings
- See the full list of actions Pluely supports binding a shortcut to.
- Trigger a recorder that captures a new key combination when you press it.
- Have Pluely check the new combination for conflicts with other bindings before saving.
- Save the change so it applies globally, immediately, everywhere on your system.
Using shortcuts day to day
Once bound, a shortcut works the same whether Pluely is focused or not — that's what makes it "global." Summon the overlay mid-meeting, trigger a screen capture while reading a document, or start/stop a Listen session while your hands stay on the keyboard.
Customizing shortcuts
If a default binding clashes with something else you use, or just doesn't fit your muscle memory, you can rebind it. Pluely walks you through recording a new combination and warns you if it overlaps with an existing shortcut, so you don't end up with two actions fighting over the same keys.
